SeaComm celebrates holidays with gift to CVPH Foundation

PLATTSBURGH | In the season of giving, SeaComm Federal Credit Union is helping The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital provide the gift of healthier communities by donating $5,000. It is SeaComm's fifth such donation to The Foundation, fulfilling a $25,000 pledge. "We are extremely pleased to provide our financial support to CVPH," SeaComm President and Chief Executive Officer Scott Wilson said. "The hospital is a cornerstone of the greater Plattsburgh community, along with all of the North Country, and CVPH continues to meet the health care needs of our friends and neighbors, which is extremely important to us," he added. The funds will assist in delivering care to local residents through the purchase of essential medical supplies and equipment, such as exercise equipment to help COVID-19 patients regain strength and range of motion while recovering from their illness. And hospital employees can further their education thanks to scholarships funded in part by SeaComm's contributions. "We are extremely thankful to SeaComm Federal Credit Union for their commitment to helping build a stronger hospital and a healthier North Country," CVPH Associate Vice President Kerry Haley said. "SeaComm's generosity, and the generosity of all of our donors, truly makes a difference in the lives of our patients and our people. The donation made to CVPH is in addition to the $150,000 in total the Credit Union presented earlier this year to regional hospital foundations in northern New York and Vermont, including CVPH and two other University of Vermont Health Network affiliates: Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone and The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Massena Hospital and Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg also benefited.
