Monster Truck Invasion and more coming to Clinton Co. Fair

MORRISONVILLE | The Clinton County Fairgrounds will welcome the national favorite Monster Truck Invasion as part of its 2021 lineup. Vaters Motorsports and its fleet of 12-foot-tall, 10,000-pound monster trucks will come to the fairgrounds Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31 for a highly anticipated Monster Truck Invasion. The ground-pounding, high-flying vehicles will headline grandstand shows at 7 p.m. both evenings, destroying everything in their paths as they battle it out in wheelie contests, side-by-side races and freestyle competition. "Folks will get to see Monster Truck World Champion Mikey Vaters Jr., Monster Truck Hall of Famer Mike Vaters Sr. and five 1,500-horsepower monster trucks in action," said Clinton County Fair Manager Mike Perrotte. "They put on a thrilling show." The colossal vehicles expected to participate in the upcoming spectacle include Overkill Evolution; Towasaurus Wrex; the school bus monster truck Higher Education, a favorite among children; Iron Warrior; and Black Stallion. Additional all-terrain vehicles will be on hand at both shows for Quad Wars races. Advance ticket sales for Monster Truck Invasion are now open at clintoncountyfair.com. All tickets are general admission and can be purchased for $25 per adult and $12 per child. These tickets do not include admission to the fair. Tickets will also be available at Price Chopper locations in Plattsburgh and Rouses Point beginning July 4. "We expect both shows to sell out quickly, so we recommend people secure their tickets as soon as possible," Perrotte said. Admission to the pre-show Pit Party, which will take place both nights from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., is free for ticket holders and will offer opportunities to meet the drivers and see the trucks up close. Also among the entertainment lineup at this year's Clinton County Fair, set for Tuesday, July 27 through Sunday, Aug. 1, will be award-winning magician Chris Yanteck, as well as truck and tractor pulls, an over-the-top demolition derby and live performances of the popular children's shows "Pipsqueak" and "Buffalo Barfield." As always, the fair will feature a robust agricultural component with a variety of livestock exhibits, agricultural displays and demonstrations, and educational contests. Horse shows, gymkhana and New York Sire Stakes harness racing are on the fair's packed schedule as well.
