Wow! It has been three weeks since I have sat at my computer to try and send some Bakers Mills Info. Some of this news will be really old but it will help fill up my space. The time changed this morning so we know that winter is around the corner. The fall leaves were beautiful and have really covered the ground waiting for the thick white comforter to arrive. I am in no hurry for that to arrive. Winter is long and means shoveling and plowing and higher fuel bills. Sorry! I will try to enjoy some of the months ahead. Agnes Straight enjoyed her granddaughter and great granddaughter spending a few days with her recently. Dave Newkirk told us at church a funny story about his pigs getting out. Neighbors helped but no luck. Finally with Dave going up the road and trying to give them a treat and much exercise the pigs were back in their pen safe and sound. If you see Dave ask him about it. He tells the story really funny. It has been great to have Dave and Faye join our morning worship for many weeks. Now they will going to Tennessee soon to visit. Many of Emma Parsons family have been coming to help Ron and Kathy Allen with her care, God Bless everyone of them. Ron and Kathy Allen's grandson, Caleb Werger and Emily were married in Bennington, Vermont on Oct. 11. The Spaghetti Supper at Wevertown turned out great. The Community Compassions will help out many needs in the community. Sorry to hear about the death of Robert LaVergne and Ronda Coleman. Do you remember when Ellie Coleman had a diner in North Creek in the early 80's? Ronda was her daughter. Also sorry to hear about the death of Juainta Russell. Fred and Ruth Allen have been very sad with having to send Rusty to his happy hunting ground. Rusty has been a part of their family for almost 15 years. The animals are still coming to the roads to cross to find something to eat. The woods have to many trees and underbrush and no feed. What happens? They get killed. Keisha Sprague hit one on her way home from work. With no cell service from Pottersville to North Creek was lucky to get home with her car so damaged. Bill Conlon has a new car and being white looks pretty sophisticated Four Generations enjoyed a meal at The Place recently. Earl Allen, Fabiann Conlon, Dezore Cleveland and I. Deana Wood, Martha Persons, and myself enjoyed along with over 200 other women going to Saratoga to Hope for a Woman's Heart Refreshing." It was fantastic. Please join us on June 13 to the Jubilee. Ava Conlon had a great birthday party on Oct. 25. Fun spot at her home. She is now a big girl at 4. I took Dad, Earl Allen, to Warrensburg Health Center on Thursday afternoon to have 16 cancer/precancers taken care of on his face. When you see him it was not birdshot. We stopped to Luck-E-Star for supper. Chad Pierson and Missy Smith had a great fun wedding at Basil N Wicks. Their children were the attendants. It was a surprise to the parents. Martha Person was the host of the knitting class on Saturday in the fellowship room at the Sodom Community Church.
