14th Annual Drink Pink Fundraiser aims for $20K

QUEENSBURY | Adirondack Winery has announced a $20,000 fundraising goal for its 14th Annual "Drink Pink" breast cancer awareness fundraiser benefiting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks. The American Cancer Society (ACS) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a campaign and fundraising walk focused on fighting breast cancer by raising lifesaving funds for those impacted through research, ACS programs and services. Last year, with the support of customers, employees, and friends, the winery raised over $25,000 for this organization, surpassing its fundraising goal and bringing its total fundraising efforts over the past 13 years to more than $163,000. "In the thirteen years that we have supported Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks, I have met so many amazing survivors, volunteers, and families of both survivors and those who have passed on from breast cancer," said Adirondack Winery president and co-owner Sasha Pardy. "We know ACS is relying on us, and we're determined to make 2026 another big year of fundraising to support the amazing work Making Strides does!" During its Drink Pink campaign, Adirondack Winery will offer a variety of specialty products that will help support the fundraiser. This includes its "Drink Pink Berry Breeze" wine, a limited-edition version of its popular mixed berry rosé. The winery also offers themed Drink Pink Cocktails and Food Specials and "Drink Pink" merchandise, ranging from apparel to drinkware, at both locations in Lake George and Queensbury. The winery's event calendar is filled with events supporting the cause, ranging from the "Drink Pink Boozy Book Fair Kick Off" to "Save the Tatas Comedy," Dueling Pianos and crafting events supporting the cause. A huge Raffle Basket effort is also underway, with countless local businesses donating merchandise and gift cards to create $4,000 in Raffle Basket value. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the campaign on the winery's website and at both of its Tasting Rooms. A major part of Adirondack Winery fundraising comes from staff and customers who join its team on the Making Strides website. The Making Strides of the Adirondack fundraising effort culminates in a walk and celebration at the end of October. "With the change of the seasons comes big change our community has in the fight against breast cancer," said Nick Liporace, Senior Manager of Events, ACS. "Our annual Making Strides of the Adirondacks event is celebrating its 6th year at Glens Falls City Park and hopes to welcome all those who have been touched by breast cancer. Previvors, caregivers, thrivers, grievers, and survivors are encouraged to come take a few steps towards cures and support on Sunday, October 25th." This year's Drink Pink campaign will kick off on Sunday, Sept. 20, with the "Drink Pink Boozy Book Fair" at the Queensbury Tasting Rroom (QTR).
