Wayne C. Douglas

PLATTSBURGH | Wayne C. Douglas, 76, of Plattsburgh passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug., 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Dec. 7, 1949, the son of Charles Douglas and Barbara Clukey. Wayne married the former Angelia Liberty in Plattsburgh on Sept. 8, 1967. He was a self-employed contractor who had a true passion for building and remodeling. Wayne also loved his family and the New York Yankees. Survivors include his loving wife, Angelia; children, Brian (Terri) Douglas, Lorenne Douglas (Stuart Mitchell), Karla (Christopher) Romeo, and Shelbie Bradford; brother, David (Sandy) Douglas; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Majorie Maloney, Diane Miller, Nancy Brunelle, Julie Ashline, James Douglas, and Charlene Douglas. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026. Burial will be at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements are with R.W. Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
