Multi-agency execution of search warrant leads to fugitive arrest

PLATTSBURGH | A coordinated, multi-agency execution of a search warrant led to the apprehension of a Rhode Island man hiding out at a city residence. Clinton County Sheriff's officials said Isaac Rosario, 21, was arrested early Friday morning when the Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service, with assistance from the Northern Regional Special Response Team and multiple partner agencies, executed a search warrant at a residence in the City of Plattsburgh. Rosario was tracked to the Plattsburgh area following an investigation by the District of Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshals Service Plattsburgh Division, and the Plattsburgh City Police Department. Rosario is wanted in Rhode Island in connection with charges of felony assault, assault on a corrections officer, carrying a pistol or revolver without a license, fraudulent use of a credit card, reckless driving and eluding authorities. Rosario was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility pending further extradition proceedings in Clinton County Court. The Sheriff's Office was assisted in the operation by the U.S. Marshals Service Plattsburgh Division; Homeland Security Investigations, Resident Agent in Charge–Rouses Point; U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations, Plattsburgh Air Unit; the Plattsburgh City Police Department; and the Northern Regional Special Response Team. The Northern Regional Special Response Team comprises members of the Clinton, Franklin, Essex, and St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Offices, as well as the Malone Village Police Department.
