N. Creek Depot Museum's 'Many Lives of Teddy Roosevelt' lecture series continues

NORTH CREEK | The North Creek Depot Museum's lecture series "The Many Lives of Theodore Roosevelt" is continuing throughout the summer. The lectures—which explore Roosevelt's personal, political, and social lives—are part of the Museum's months-long commemoration of TR's historic "Night Ride to the Presidency," which took place in the Adirondacks—and ended at the North Creek train depot—125 years ago. Following is a list of the upcoming presentations, which each begin at the Tannery Pond Center in North Creek at 7:30 p.m.: Thursday, July 23: Paul Grondahl, Journalist and Author. I Rose Like a Rocket: The Political Education of Theodore Roosevelt. Wednesday, July 29: Joan Collins, Prominent Adirondack Birding Guide, Author, and Conservationist. Theodore Roosevelt: Birder, Conservationist, and the Adirondacks. Thursday, Aug. 6: Edward O'Keefe, CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and Author. The Loves of Theodore Roosevelt: The Women Who Created a President. Wednesday, Aug. 12: Jeffrey Richman, Green-Wood Cemetery Historian (2006-2025) and Author. The Roosevelt Family at Green-Wood Cemetery, a National Historic Site. Thursday, Aug. 20: Seth Isaacson, Antique Firearms Specialist, Lead Historian at the Rock Island Auction Company. Firearms Owned and Gifted by Theodore Roosevelt. Tuesday, Sept. 1: David Gessner, Author and Distinguished Professor, University of North Carolina.
