Willis P. "Bill" Tromblee

MADRID, N.Y. | A Celebration of Life gathering for Willis P. "Bill" Tromblee, 77, was held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at his home at 9 Depot St., Madrid, N.Y., starting at 12 p.m. Private graveside services will be held in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Port Henry, N.Y. Bill passed away on April 22, 2026, in Rochester, N.Y. Willis is survived by a brother, Peter, and Penny Tromblee, Port Henry; four sisters, Katie, and Tim Clark, Elizabethtown; Lora Clark, Port Henry; Katrinka Tromblee, Witherbee; and Debra Walsh, Port Henry; as well as many nieces and nephews and his friends and family within the Sunmount community and at the Edgewood Drive, Saranac Lake, N.Y., and Depot Street, Madrid, N.Y. houses. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Willis and Kathryn; a brother, Charles; and a sister, Louise Smith. Willis was born Dec. 9, 1948, to Willis L. and Kathryn Young Tromblee in Moriah, N.Y. He grew up in Mineville, N.Y. Bill enjoyed listening to country music, watching old Western TV shows, playing his guitar, singing, and spending time with his family and friends, especially at family gatherings. He also enjoyed time outdoors gardening. Willis had a wonderful sense of humor, and his smile charmed our hearts and brought happiness to each day. Willis was a kind, happy, and loving man who will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him or caring for him.
