Annual Autism Walk returns May 2

MORRISONVILLE | The Autism Alliance of Northeastern New York (AANENY) invites the community to come together for its 2026 Autism Alliance Walk, taking place on Saturday, May 2 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. This year's walk will feature a festive carnival theme, celebrating connection, acceptance, and community while raising funds to support local autistic individuals and their families. Registration opens at 10 a.m., with the walk beginning at 11 a.m. The event will run until approximately 1 p.m. and will include music, bounce houses, children's activities, raffles, food trucks, and a community resource fair. The annual walk is the Autism Alliance's largest fundraiser of the year and supports programs such as monthly social meetups, individual and family grants, college scholarships, caregiver support initiatives, and community education programs throughout Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties. "This walk is about more than just fundraising," said Holly Lafountain, Executive Director of the Autism Alliance of Northeastern New York. "It's about bringing our community together to celebrate autistic individuals, promote acceptance, and ensure families know they are not alone. Every dollar raised stays local and helps us continue providing free and low-cost programs and resources to the families we serve."
