Fund PPNCNY campaign exceeds $100K goal

WATERTOWN | Planned Parenthood of the North Country New York (PPNCNY) is proud to announce the successful completion of the Fund PPNCNY campaign, which ran from Oct. 1, through Dec. 2. The campaign was launched in direct response to the federal defunding of Planned Parenthood, an unprecedented challenge that threatened the availability of essential health services throughout the rural North Country region. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of community members across all six counties locally served, PPNCNY surpassed its goal of raising $100,000, reaching a remarkable $102,180. PPNCNY officials said the achievement reflects the deep commitment of North Country residents to protecting access to reproductive and preventive health care, including cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing and treatment, gender-affirming care, and more. As part of the campaign, PPNCNY held a friendly competition among the counties in its service area. Jefferson County emerged as the top fundraiser, contributing an impressive $30,635. "The level of support we received, across every county, speaks volumes about how much our communities value accessible health care," said PPNCNY CEO Crystal Collette. "We are humbled and deeply grateful." While celebrating this milestone, PPNCNY also emphasizes that the work is far from over. The loss of federal funding has created ongoing financial strain, and continued community support will be critical to sustaining services in rural areas where health care options are limited. "Raising more than $100,000 in just two months is extraordinary, and we cannot thank our supporters enough," said Collette. "At the same time, the need does not end here. These funds help keep our doors open today, but long-term support will ensure that patients across the North Country continue to receive the high-quality, compassionate care theydepend on."
