37th Annual Old Fashioned Christmas in Warrensburgh returns

WARRENSBURG | The 37th Annual Christmas in Warrensburgh will once again bring two days of town-wide holiday fun for the whole family. Presented by Warrensburgh Beautification Inc. with support of Town of Warrensburg Occupancy Tax Funding, the Dec. 6 and 7 celebration includes everything from a festival of lights throughout town, pet photos with Santa, a Toyland with Santa event, petting zoo, kids' crafts, book signings, the ever-favorite Holiday Market & Artisan Fair, horse-drawn carriage rides, a community tree lighting and more. In keeping with tradition, local artisan Timothy Sauter, owner of Big Yellow House Designs, was commissioned by Warrensburgh Beautification Inc. to design and create the 37th Christmas in Warrensburgh Limited Edition Ornament. The 2025 gourd-art snowman ornaments were handcrafted using natural materials, numbered, signed and dated, inspired by this year's theme "Holly, Jolly Christmas". Ornaments will be sold at the Indoor Holiday Market & Artisan Fair during Christmas in Warrensburgh on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and afterward at J. Gallup Farm, 3952 Main Street. Other Saturday, Dec. 6 attractions include pet photos with Santa at Braley Noxon Hardware from 9-10 a.m.; a Cookie Walk complete with truffles and hot cocoa bombs at First Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; a silent auction, craft sale and cookie walk at Christ Disciples of Warrensburg from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; a Christmas Bazaar with baked treats at Countryside Adult Home from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and open houses at numerous area businesses, Richards Library and the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History. Numerous other events will coincide as the always popular Toyland with Santa event returns from 10-a.m.-3 p.m. at Emerson Town Hall and will include free pony rides and petting zoo from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., face painting, gingerbread house decorating, children's craft workshops and more. The Indoor Holiday Market and Artisan Fair runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at River Street Plaza at 89 River St., featuring a wide array of artisans, baked goods, food sampling and giveaways as it showcases local talents and goods from across the Adirondacks, complete with live music, free children's crafts and book signings. Horsedrawn carriage rides will be offered free of charge by Vance Acres from the Christ Disciples of Warrensburg from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., adding to the holiday spirit and fun of the iconic celebration. Saturday's festivities are capped with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. at Floyd Bennett Memorial Bandstand with a welcome by Town Supervisor Kevin Geraghty and a Blessing by Father Armidon of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. The community tree lighting will feature holiday music by the Warrensburg Elementary School band and chorus, caroling, hot chocolate and cookies by J. Gallup Farm as Santa arrives for the official tree lighting. Many of the events return Sunday, when there will also be Breakfast with Santa at Bandstand Brew Works with free face painting from 9 a.m.-noon and Lunch with Santa and the Grinch at Tommy Guns Pizzeria with free face painting also offered.
