Peru debuts in state football rankings

PLATTSBURGH | The New York State Sportswriters Association released its third set of football rankings on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Peru represented Section VII by making its debut at No. 20 in Class B with a 4-0 record, while Beekmantown (3-1) was listed as honorable mention. In Class C, Saranac Lake and Saranac received honorable mention, with records of 3-1 and 2-2, respectively. Records reflect games through Sunday, Sept. 28. — Class B 1. Port Jervis-9 4-0 2.
