Beekmantown races past Ti behind 346 rushing yards

TICONDEROGA | Beekmantown's offense had answers at every turn on Friday, Sept. 19. The Eagles built a 29-6 lead in the first half and pulled away to a 51-20 win over Ticonderoga in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football at Sentinel Field. Hunter Porter set the tone with a pair of first-half touchdown runs, while Shamus Bibeau powered through for 126 rushing yards and another score. Carter LaPier added 95 yards and a touchdown, and Carson LaDue and Cole Brodi capped the effort with late rushing strikes. In all, Beekmantown rolled up 346 yards on the ground and finished with seven touchdowns from six different players. Ticonderoga's Trevor Blanchard delivered an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, and Blanchard later added a 3-yard rushing score. Quarterback Jackson Dorsett connected with Rowen Bechtold for a 13-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Blanchard finished with 73 yards rushing, while Dorsett threw for 66 yards. Beekmantown improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the CVAC.
