LGLC to host 9th annual Amy's Race Oct. 4

BOLTON LANDING | The Lake George Land Conservancy's (LGLC) 9th annual Amy's Adventure Race for the Lake (Amy's Race) will take place Saturday, October 4, at Amy's Park in Bolton Landing. Race options include both the original 4.5-mile course and the 10-mile course that was introduced in 2024. Amy's Park offers rugged terrain with 700 feet of elevation gain amidst ponds, marshes, and forests. The longer race follows nearly the same loop as the 4.5-mile track, with a slight modification to increase the total length to 10 miles when run twice. A virtual option is also available, so athletes can run the required distance at Amy's Park or from wherever they choose on October 4. An Amy's After Party will be held at the Bolton Landing Brewing Company. Open to all race participants and members of the community, the Amy's After Party will have refreshments and a basket raffle. All proceeds from the race and the raffle will go to the LGLC's initiatives to protect the land that protects the lake. Race registration is $30 for the 4.5-mile and virtual options, $40 for the 10-mile option; prices go up after Sept. 4. Registration includes one ticket for the After Party raffle, a beer from Bolton Landing Brewing Co. at the finish line, and a medal for completion. Amy's Race 2025 t-shirts are an additional $10 and can be purchased during registration. Participants, family, and friends also can buy Amy's Race t-shirts and other merch at the After Party and through the LGLC's online store following the event. Past competitors have ranged in age from 7 to 75, making this race fun for the whole family. The LGLC is also seeking volunteers and sponsors. Volunteers assist with trail prep, water stations, check-in, and other tasks. Amy's Race was spearheaded in 2017 by the LGLC's Next Generation (Next Gen) Committee, a group of young professionals committed to bringing awareness to LGLC's mission by organizing innovative events geared towards engaging communities around the lake.
