Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market opens for the season

TICONDEROGA | The Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market has officially opened for the 2025 season and will run every Saturday through Sept. 6. The Market will offer fresh local goods, locally made products, live music, family-friendly activities, a variety of giveaways, and special events every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in Downtown Ticonderoga, unless otherwise noted. The 2025 market will feature themed Saturdays, community collaborations, and fun additions for all ages, including weekly kids' activities, live music, and a Kinetic Sand Station. Special giveaways will be available throughout the season thanks to generous local sponsors. The market officially opened July 12 with a fun-filled Family Fun & Emergency Services Appreciation Day, featuring vendors, games, music by DJ Dan Whitford, a bounce house, dunk booth and Touch a Truck event with Ticonderoga EMS, Ticonderoga Fire Department and Ticonderoga Police Department and more. "The Farmers Market Committee is incredibly excited for the 2025 season," shared the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market Committee. "We've put a lot of heart into planning new features, activities, and partnerships to make the market even more enjoyable for our community. We're really hoping for strong local support and turnout each week as we continue to grow together." MARKET HIGHLIGHTS July 19: &emsp;-Music by DJ Dan Whitford. &emsp;-First 50 kids will receive a giveaway sponsored by That's RAD!! July 26: StreetFest &emsp;-New Farmers Market Square (Montcalm Street, across from TACC). &emsp;-10 a.m. to 3 p.m. &emsp;-Food trucks, picnic tables, live music by Hank Bisner, and kids' activities. &emsp;-First 50 kids will receive a giveaway sponsored by Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership. Aug. 2: &emsp;-Live music by Jim Shaw. &emsp;-First 50 kids will receive a Hot Wheels Car sponsored by Ti Automotive. Aug. 9: Local Artisans & Authors Day &emsp;-Local creatives offering items for sale, book signings, readings, and demonstrations. &emsp;-The Black Watch Memorial Library will be present for Imagination Library sign-ups. &emsp;-Live music by Hank Bisner. &emsp;-First 50 kids will receive bookmarks, coloring books and crayons sponsored by NRDC. Aug. 16: &emsp;-Live music by Kate MD (Kaitlin Bevins, Mike Iturrino & Darren Patnode). &emsp;-First 50 people will receive a koozie provided by Burleigh's Luncheonette. Aug. 23: Community Non-Profit Day &emsp;-TACC member displays to share their missions, upcoming events, and giveaways and/or activities. &emsp;-First 50 kids will receive a giveaway sponsored by Bain's Sunoco. &emsp;-Live music by Roberta Whitely and Lance Dolback. Aug. 30: &emsp;-Live music by The Dons. &emsp;-First 50 kids will receive a foam football giveaway courtesy of Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Sept. 6: History Speaks Event &emsp;-Fort Ticonderoga Fife & Drum Corps performance. &emsp;-Local history groups with exhibits and retail items. &emsp;-Ticonderoga Heritage Museum Industry Walking Tour led by Mark Wright. &emsp;-Live music by The Loose Monkeys. &emsp;-First 50 people will receive a fresh vegetable giveaway from June Curtis.
