Annual Lake City Arts Fest returns to Downtown Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH | The City of Plattsburgh and the Strand Center for the Arts have announced the highly-anticipated return of the Lake City Arts Fest on Saturday, Aug. 23. Now in its fourth year, this vibrant, family-friendly celebration will transform downtown Plattsburgh into a lively hub of creativity, music, and community spirit. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., attendees can explore a dynamic array of activities spread across Margaret Street, Brinkerhoff Street, the Strand Center for the Arts, and Betty Little Arts Park. The festival will feature live music performances, interactive art experiences, artisan vendors, kids' activities, and a variety of local food and beverage options. Festival Highlights Include: Live Music & Performances: Enjoy performances throughout the day from headliner Bella's Bartok, Martin Shamoonpour and Kenny Vimyslicky presented by Hill and Hollow Music, and local musician Marcus Carson presented by Plattsburgh Blues & Jazz. Artisan Market: Browse and purchase unique creations from regional artists, including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Interactive Art Activities: Participate in hands-on art demos suitable for all ages, fostering creativity and community engagement. Kids' Zone: A dedicated area for children to engage in fun and educational art activities, ensuring entertainment for the youngest festival-goers. Activities include weaving, foil art, telescope viewing, and noodle sculptures. Make sure to stop by Mr. Ding-A-Ling for ice cream treats. Local Food & Drink: Grab a bite from local food trucks, sip beer and wine from Rustic Pines in the beer garden, or cool off with creative mocktails from Whistle Stop Fusion BBQ & Mocktails on the Strand's Lawn.
