ADK Pub & Brewery helps LGLC's restoration of Pilot Knob Gazebo

LAKE GEORGE | Adirondack Pub & Brewery presented two checks to the Lake George Land Conservancy (LGLC) after collaborating on two new fundraising efforts. Adirondack Pub & Brewery donated a portion of proceeds from its Easy Hike IPA and hosted its first Dine for the Lake benefit night for the LGLC to help support conservation efforts, including the restoration of the iconic Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob gazebo. The new gazebo will honor the original design, maintaining a sustainable structure with minimal visual impact while preserving its character. After more than 35 years of service as a cherished destination for hikers and visitors, the gazebo at the Schumann Preserve is in need of replacement. The LGLC is raising funds to rebuild it in its current footprint. Initially constructed more than a decade before LGLC acquired the 223-acre preserve in 2000, the gazebo has provided a place of rest, reflection, and memory for tens of thousands of people each year. It has hosted countless engagements, family gatherings, and moments of remembrance, including those honoring Lynn LaMontagne Schumann and the Lawrence family. "We are incredibly grateful to John Carr, owner of the Adirondack Pub & Brewery, for these donations toward the Schumann Preserve's gazebo reconstruction," said LGLC Executive Director Mike Horn. "The Adirondack Pub & Brewery has been a supporter of the LGLC for many years, and we appreciate their latest contribution toward the success of this project that perfectly highlights the importance of places like this for people to gather and experience the beauty of Lake George." The LGLC efforts to preserve the land around the lake, which preserves water quality, play an integral part in our business as well since Lake George provides our drinking water and that is what we use in brewing our beer and other beverages."
