Warren Co. DPW superintendent to lead state association

QUEENSBURY | Warren County Superintendent of Public Works Kevin Hajos was recently elected president of the New York State County Highway Superintendents' Association. Hajos, who has been Warren County DPW Superintendent since 2018 and has worked for county DPW since 2008, oversees all county highway and bridge construction, maintenance of all road machinery and snow removal as well as managing the following six divisions: Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Parks & Recreation, Solid Waste and Recycling, Highway & Traffic, Engineering, and Buildings and Grounds. He will serve as president while continuing his duties with Warren County DPW. Hajos said," I am truly honored and humbled to be chosen to lead the Association over the next year." He also spoke about "the challenges and changes the County highway community has faced and I am reminded of the resilience, adaptability and leadership of those who have taken on these roles." In his role as NYSCHSA President, Hajos serves as a leading voice advocating for highway department priorities, growing membership, and providing resources to peers across the state. "Whether it's advocating for funding, fostering change, or strengthening our partnership at every level of government, I see this Presidency as an opportunity to ensure our voices are heard and that NYSCHSA remains on the forefront of progress" Hajos explained. NYSCHSA is a non-profit organization whose county superintendents, public works commissioners and affiliate members have been gathering for over 100 years to share knowledge and experience, and to build professional networks and relationships.
