North Warren Central School District leadership transitions

NORTH WARREN | The North Warren Central School District is about to make some notable leadership changes. The transition will begin with Caleb Martin, the current 7-12 principal, who will be stepping up to replace longtime superintendent Michele French on Jan. 1. Mr. Martin moves to the superintendency with an impressive history with the district as he began at North Warren in 2005 in a teaching position in the high school. Soon after, he began his path to the superintendency with various positions over the years within the district, including CSE/CPSE Administrator and Discipline Administrator. Martin became the high school principal in 2018. His last official day as 7-12 principal is Dec. 31. The North Warren Board of Education and the staff of North Warren will welcome their new 7-12 principal, Rebecca Vanderklish, on Dec. 2. Vanderklish comes from Glens Falls City Schools, where she worked in a variety of positions and was Director of Pupil Personnel Services since 2016. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo and Sage Graduate School. She holds permanent teaching certifications in secondary math, reading, special education and elementary education, as well as Provisional Certifications as a School Building Leader and School District Leader. Vanderklish currently lives in Lake George with her husband and daughter. Martin, Vanderklish and French, who has remained on as Interim Superintendent to support a smooth transition of leadership, will spend the month of December working together.
