ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TOWN OF JOHNSBURG - NORTH CREEK, NY NORTH CREEK WASTEWATER PROJECTThe Town of Johnsburg (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:NORTH CREEK WASTEWATER PROJECTBids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Johnsburg Town Hall located at 219 Main Street, North Creek, NY 12853, until Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm local time. The Bids receivedwill be publicly opened and read directly following at the Tannery Pond Center, 228 Main Street, North Creek, NY, 12853.The Project includes the following Work: Construct a new wastewater treatment plant, sewer mains, waste lines, pump stations, and all associated appurtenances to create a new wastewater systemservicing downtown North Creek, NY.Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts: TJ-2023-G - General Construction, TJ-2023-E- Electrical Construction, TJ-2023 -P - Plumbing Construction, and TJ-2023-M - Mechanical Construction.The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Cedarwood Engineering Services PLLC, 625 Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine printed Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office from Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Partial sets of Bidding Documentswill not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders who have contacted and registered with the Issuing Office.Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by contacting Jenny Connelly atjconnelly@cedarwoodengineering.com or by phone at 518-623-5500. Bidding Documents are available as portable document format (.pdf) files available for download from a DropboxTM location to be issuedto Bidder upon receipt of a refundable deposit of $25. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by paying a refundable deposit of $95 for each set. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment,printed Bidding Documents may be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. Deposit price does not include any delivery charges. Bidders who return full sets of the printed Bidding Documents in goodcondition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Bidders should make deposit checks for Bidding Documents payable to "Cedarwood Engineering Services PLLC".A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Tannery Pond Center, 228 Main Street, North Creek, NY 12853. Attendance at the pre-bid conference isencouraged but not required.All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the maximum bid price, as determined by adding the base bid and all alternatives, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, or ConditionalBids.The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions ofthe Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirementto this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: linedor unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges,pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
