NOTICE TO BIDDERSLaChute River Trail Extension Project.NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town of Ticonderoga willaccept sealed bids at the Town Hall, located at 132 Montcalm Street,Ticonderoga, NY 12883 until 2:00 p.m., local time on August 16,2024, and will be publicly read aloud at that time. All interested bidders are highly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting held at 10:30 am, local time on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Town of Ticonderoga Town Hall.Bid documents are available on MJ Engineering's website:https://www.mjteam.com/bids. Bids may be mailed or hand-deliveredto Town Clerk, Town of Ticonderoga, PO Box 471, 132 Montcalm St.,Ticonderoga, NY 12883. All bids must be received by the Town Clerk on or before 2:00 p.m., local time on August 16, 2024.All bids submitted in response to this notice shall be marked "SEALEDBID - LACHUTE RIVER TRAIL EXT GC" clearly on the outside of the envelope with the bidder's name and address.All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy byreproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. No Bidder maywithdraw his bid within sixty (60) calendar days after the actual date ofthe opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Section 137 of the State Finance Law, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract. This is a public works project and state prevailing wages as determined by the New York State Department of Labor must be paid. Provisions for prevailing wages are set forth in this Project Manual.The Town affirmatively states that in regard to any contract entered intopursuant to these instructions, without regard to race, color, sex,religion, age, national origin, disability, sexual preference or VietnamEra veteran status, disadvantaged and minority or women-ownedbusiness enterprises will be afforded equal opportunity to submit bids inresponse hereto. This project is being financed by the New YorkDepartment of State Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Funds.See instructions to Bidders for additional information.New York Department of State encourages the greatest extent possiblethe participation of minorities, women-owned businesses, and Section 3 business enterprises, and individuals in NYS DOS funded projects. The Contractor, by bidding on the contract acknowledges his/herunderstanding and support for this policy and pledges to fully cooperate with the Town of Ticonderoga in meeting the requirements set forth in the Bidding and Contracting documents.
