Noted Chef Billy Trudsoe reopens Lizzy Keays Restaurant June 19

WARRENSBURG | As of June 16, celebrity chef Billy Trudsoe announced he was reopening Lizzie Keays Restaurant in Warrensburg on Wednesday, June 19 offering upscale dining with a full menu, cocktails, wine, and craft beer. On Friday, Trudsoe received his state liquor license for Lizzie Keays, which he acquired and revitalized over the last several months. Trudsoe said his restaurant is now fully staffed after construction details were completed, decor was updated, and menu items were selected. "Although this is the fifth restaurant I've opened, it's the first I've owned, and I'm a little nervous, but very excited," he said. "We've received a lot of support from area communities and many local businesses, for which we are quite grateful. I believe we will be not only a destination restaurant, but an attraction." "Who doesn't want to experience B-True's Mad Flava?," he added, referring to the brand he's been building while working in various restaurants around Lake George before ascending to fame as a 2022 competitor on the prominent reality television show "Hell's Kitchen." A 2000 graduate of North Warren High School, Trudsoe is proud of his career path which includes recently taking over the reins of Basil & Wick's Restaurant in North Creek which he has revitalized as a gastro pub/tavern. Trudsoe has developed a considerable following online, likely because he's been personally answering inquiries promptly about his restaurants, his culinary efforts, and his B-True's Mad Flava brand. He said his menu at Lizzy Keays features his favorite entrees and appetizers from his 20-year career, as well as a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. "We're able to accommodate any guest at Lizzie Keays," he said. "Our team is really excited to be a part of not only restoring this historic restaurant, but also building the Mad Flava brand." Also, Lizzie Keays now features dining on the restaurant's screened in porch, and guests can also have a cocktail and horse d'oeuvres on the enterprise's terrace which features gardens and a water fountain. Lizzy Keays is to be open from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., when the last seating is accommodated, Tuesday through Saturday, and is closed Sunday and Monday when Basil & Wiks is open. The staggered schedule allows Trudsoe to spend time in both restaurants, he said.
