Kickin' Up Dust Farm hosts Thera-Pets holiday fundraiser

SCHUYLER FALLS | In support of Thera-Pets, Inc., the Kickin' Up Dust Farm will host their special holiday-themed fundraiser: The Kissing Ball benefit sale. In addition to kissing balls, wreaths, crosses, snowflakes, candy canes and swags can also be purchased, with all proceeds benefitting Thera-Pets' work with special-needs children. The Kissing Ball Sale is taking place at the farm now from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and ends Saturday, Dec. 9. Santa will take time out of his very busy schedule to make a special visit to Kickin' Up Dust Farm on the last weekend of November: Saturday, Nov. 25, from 1 to 3 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 26, from 1 to 2 p.m. Santa will greet each child with a specially selected gift. It is rumored that the Grinch might also show up. Free hot chocolate will help set the holiday atmosphere. From 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. children can opt to tour the farm, where they'll visit with goats, donkeys, horses, alpacas and a variety of birds. Thera-Pets is a nonprofit organization offering a youth group called Donkeys and Friends. It provides social, recreational, and creative opportunities for children with special needs.
