Early election results for Ti, North Hudson and Hague

TICONDEROGA | In Southern Essex County, the voters have spoken. Some yearned for change, while others were satisfied with their town's current trajectories and opted to follow the old adage, "If it's not broken, don't fix it." In the Ticonderoga Town Supervisor's race, Republican incumbent Mark Wright saw victory over Independent challenger Frank Sheldon with Wright sweeping the race with 810 votes to Sheldon's 219. To fill the two Ticonderoga Town Board seats, voters decided Democratic Councilman Tom Cunningham was out and Heath Towne was in, Towne earning 571 votes to Cunningham's 490. Republican Clifton Thatcher received 670 votes and will serve another term. In North Hudson, Republican Town Supervisor candidate Chris Clark received 111 votes, compared to Conscience Party candidate Cassandra D'Agostino's 61 votes. Two slots were open for Town Assessor, Republican Michael A. Marsden earning 94 votes, Tracee Parent (WIL party) receiving 66 votes, and Republican Maureen M. Marsden earning 104 votes. For the Superintendent of Highways position, Republican Eric Caza received 112 votes, while Emmett L. Thompson (WFP party) received 56 votes. And in Warren County, the Town of Hague saw an extremely close race between Republican incumbent Edna Frasier and Democratic challenger Joshua Patchett. Patchett received 154 votes to Frasier's 146, making Patchett the new Town Supervisor come 2024 based on the early numbers. For a four-year position as Hague Highway Superintendent, Republican Chad R. Dunklee received 127 votes, while independent candidate Luke Winters received 101 votes. -Editor's Note: Results included here involve contested races in The Sun's Times of Ti coverage area.
