St. Clair joins Sun Community News team

PLATTSBURGH | Sun Community News & Printing has welcomed Ricky St. Clair as its sports editor. He most recently served as a sports editor, staff writer and freelance writer at the Press-Republican from 2012 to 2019. St. Clair, who earned a bachelor's degree in newspaper journalism from SUNY Plattsburgh, also had work published in Cardinal Points and Vermont Motorsports Magazine. He will be responsible for covering high school and college athletics as well as adult and youth recreational sports throughout the region. "I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity," St. Clair said. "Local sports are the social fabric of our communities. I look forward to working with area administrators, coaches and student-athletes this fall and beyond." St. Clair has been in the press box for national and state championship games, interviewed Olympians and was a credentialed media member for NASCAR Cup Series races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
