Secretary to Warren Co. CEO honored

QUEENSBURY | A key employee in the Warren County CEO's office has been honored for her diligence in performing a wide variety of duties. Kristy Miller, confidential secretary to Warren County Administrator John Taflan, was named "Employee of the Month" and hailed with an ovation by the county supervisors at their March 17 meeting. Taflan said Miller fields a myriad of phone calls, deals with FOIL requests, and inspects monthly bills issued by various departments to assure they are timely and correct. "Kristy's professionalism is evident in everything she does," Taflan said. "She's often on the 'front line' of dealing with some of the most difficult calls and requests, and she handles all while providing superior customer service." He noted that the county government depends on Miller to take care of a wide range of responsibilities. "When a task is given to Kristy, there's no doubt that it will get done, and get done well," he said. "She keeps the county Administrator's Office from going 'off the rails'….It's a Herculean task, but Kristy does it while maintaining her sense of humor. It's impossible to quantify the value that Kristy brings to the Administrators' office." County Board of Supervisors Chairman Kevin Geraghty also offered his thoughts. "Kristy Miller has done a yeoman's job for us for many, many years," he said. Miller accepted the award — a certificate that credited her for "going above and beyond" expectations as she accomplishes her duties. "It's been an absolute pleasure," she said about working with Taflan and the other county administrative staff members.
