City of Plattsburgh unveils 2023 event lineup

PLATTSBURGH | The City of Plattsburgh has released a full calendar of community events for 2023, which includes many of the community's favorite events such as the Fourth of July Celebration, Parks Come Alive events, Downtown Trick or Treat and more. 2023 EVENT HIGHLIGHTS The city will host family-friendly, free events that focus on highlighting regional food, drink, music, art and history and is applauding its continuing partnerships with Sunrise Rotary Club, the Plattsburgh Arts Coalition, the Town of Plattsburgh, SUNY Plattsburgh, 1814 Inc. and many others to make them happen. Beloved community events such as the Fourth of July Celebration, Mayor's Cup, Battle of Plattsburgh and Holiday Parade (now named A Miracle on Margaret Street) are scheduled for 2023. Newer events to the community such as Parks Come Alive, Downtown Trick or Treat and the Lake City Arts Festival are also included in the 2023 line-up. Courtney Meisenheimer, Community Engagement Coordinator, said "Community events are back in a big way in 2023! This event calendar is truly a collaboration and coordination between many businesses, organizations and individuals in our City. The City is excited to facilitate opportunities for our community to connect and create memories during many of our City's events." BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS Schluter Systems, Fidelis Care, Dannemora Federal Credit Union, Lakeshore Pediatric Dentistry, Chapter One Coffee and Tea, The Z Group Real Estate, Community Bank, Northern Insuring and Norsk Titanium have all partnered with the City to present different events throughout the year. City officials are applauding their continuing monetary and volunteer efforts, saying the partnerships strengthen relationships in the community and opens the door for collaboration. Elizabeth Guillette, Recruiting Specialist at Schluter Systems, said, "Community, family, and friends are all highly valuable to Schluter Systems. We are excited to be able to provide support to the community that we are lucky enough to call home." Anna Hewitt-Channell at Dannemora Federal Credit Union said, "The City has done a wonderful job making sure that locals have entertainment and fun family-friendly activities to attend during all seasons. We love that we can be a part of the events, conversations and participate in all the fun while giving back to the City of Plattsburgh."
