Bush, LaBarge, Ferris lead boys' soccer all stars

PLATTSBURGH | Jack Ferris (Plattsburgh High), Peter LaBarge (Chazy), and Logan Bush (Schroon Lake/Newcomb) headline the Northern Soccer League all stars for the 2022 fall season, as voted on by the divisional coaches. Bush was the recipient of his second straight Division III MVP honor while LaBarge (Div. II) and Ferris (Div. I) each earned their first MVP honors. Boys All State All three of the divisional MVPs were named to the United Soccer Coaches Small School Boys Soccer All-State teams, with LaBarge earning first team honors, Ferris second team, and Bush fifth team. Chazy's Luke Moser, a Division II first team all star and member of the state finalist Eagles squad, was named to the fourth team. Div. III Joining Bush as Division III all stars include first team members Isaiah Pelkey (Schroon Lake/Newcomb), Keenan Warner (Keene), Jackson Strader (Indian Lake/Long Lake), Joe Tompkins (Crown Point), Owen Gillings (Schroon Lake/Newcomb), Evan Wing (Johnsburg/Minerva), Ronan Deslauriers (Schroon Lake/Newcomb), Peter Benway (Crown Point), Jonny Caito (Keene), Vann Morrelli (Keene), and Everett Parker (Johnsburg/Minerva). Second team members include Wyatt Carniglia (Schroon Lake/Newcomb), Caeden DeGroat (Johnsburg/Minerva), Griffin Farr (Indian Lake/Long Lake), Austin Bruso (Indian Lake/Long Lake), Cole Potter (Crown Point), Hyler Isham (Keene), Carter Hart (Schroon Lake/Newcomb), Alex Stone (Crown Point), Pablo Marin (Keene), Antonio Brown (Schroon Lake/Newcomb), and Mason Wing (Johnsburg/Minerva). Keene's Brad Hurlburt was named the coach of the year, with the Ray Holmes Sportsmanship Award going to the Orange of Indian Lake/Long Lake. Div. II LaBarge and Moser helped lead the Eagles to the Class D state title game while teammates Dylan McAfee and Isaac Merrill were also named to the Division II first team, along with Alex Wright (Lake Placid), Owen Maiore (Saranac Lake), Ben Burdo (Boquet Valley), Matt Boulrice (Northern Adirondack), Calvin Magoon (Northern Adirondack), Ayden Wrye (Northern Adirondack), Aiden Pearl (Seton Catholic), and Ashton Guay (Seton Catholic). Second team members include Zamir Foster (Chazy), Reagan Dudyak (Chazy), Evan Dwyer (Chazy), Seb Cecunjanin (Lake Placid), Harrison Carlisto (Saranac Lake), Braden Liberi (Boquet Valley), Finnley Walker (Boquet Valley), Parker Manor (Northern Adirondack), Caleb Damour (Northern Adirondack), Kingston Tucker (Northern Adirondack), and Wyatt Trzaskos (Seton Catholic). 500-plus coaching winner Rob McAuliffe was named coach of the year, while Seton Catholic was awarded the team sportsmanship award. Div. I With Ferris as the Division I MVP. the first team included Marcus Bedard (Northeastern Clinton), Matthew Hebert (Saranac Central), Dominic Falvo (Peru), Tristan Laundree (AuSable Valley), Matt Macner (Beekmantown), Nolan Manchester (Peru), Simon Meyer (Plattsburgh High), Markel Mosley (Beekmantown), Owen Mulligan (Plattsburgh High), Winfred Simpson IV (Northeastern Clinton), and James Wells, Jr (Northeastern Clinton). Second team members were Owen Beebe (Beekmantown), Sam Bingel (Beekmantown), Sebastian Bonnabesse (Plattsburgh High), James Bova (Saranac Central), Jordan Brown (Northeastern Clinton), Mason Brown (Saranac Central), Brady Mannix (Beekmantown), Evan Manor (Northeastern Clinton), Tucker McDougal (AuSable Valley), Nick Petro (Peru), and Bailey VanArman (Plattsburgh High). Plattsburgh High skipper Chris LaRose was named coach of the year, with Saranac earning the sportsmanship award.
