SeaComm Federal Credit Union donates $50k to the new Y future

PLATTSBURGH | SeaComm Federal Credit Union is supporting the new YMCA in Plattsburgh by gifting a $50,000 donation to the renovation of the former CVPH Wellness Center on New York Road. The Plattsburgh YMCA's plan to create a state-of-the-art health and wellness facility is moving forward and the support of the local credit union is welcomed with gratitude, according to Justin Ihne, CEO of the Plattsburgh YMCA. The new Plattsburgh YMCA plans include aquatics, fitness, and child-watch areas, and also provides community-connection opportunities. With meeting rooms, teen spaces, and family-friendly, intergenerational multi-purpose rooms, everyone will find the New YMCA welcoming. "I know SeaComm, as a credit union, is all about people," said Ihne. "This donation shows how much the credit union dedicates itself to supporting wellness in the North Country, and we're deeply grateful to them. It's partnerships like this that illustrate how interconnected our communities really are." Scott Wilson, CEO of SeaComm Federal Credit Union, said of the donation, "We are extremely pleased to provide the Plattsburgh YMCA with a $50,000 gift for its Strong History, Bright Future Capital Campaign.
